CHICAGO (AdAge.com) — The beer business is in serious decline as American consumers drift from brew to spirits. Beer sales, which were 56% of the alcohol beverage market in 1999 were down to 53.2% of that market last year and the slide continues.

I guess people have figured out that drinking beer and sitting around, surfing the internet will make you crazy fat. The combination made me gain 60 pounds. That and maybe American beer is going the way of American auto makers.
