Sorry that I didn’t have too many links over the past week. I had the flu (even though I got the flu shot). This was the first time I had the flu in many, many years, and it was brutal. One day in the bathroom, and two days in bed. TMI, right?

Art: A skull made out of old skate board decks. The artist look a stack of old skate board decks, glued them together, and then carved a skull out of them. Rad.

Art: Preview: “I’ll Love You til the End of the World” at Roq la Rue. A preview of an art show in Seattle. I really like John Brophy and Nicola Verlato’s work.

Photography: Photos of fireflies. Sublime.

Design: A house that is a bridge over a river. Pretty amazing. Must be nerve-racking if there is ever a flood.

Animation: Old cartoons about modern cars. When I was a kid these cartoons about the “car of the future” were very inspiring.

Comics: Classic lit in graphic form, The Graphic Canon, Volume I by Russ Kick. I have all Russ’ books, and they’re always fact-filled and entertaining.

Cute: A blind dog with a seeing-eye cat.

Music: The best free music of 2012.

Music: Songs about butts.

Music: An open letter from a bar owner to musicians. This explains the economics of bars and live music. Kinda sad.

Music: The only #1 song performed by a father and daughter. It sure is something stupid.

Music: Turn your face into a musical performer. Watch their faces twitch along with the music.

Crafts: Wooden Toys. Some cool wooden robots.

Science: January 17th is statistically the most depressing day of the year. Mark your calendar, and make sure you get yourself some cake.
