Zelda Back Tattoo
It’s funny how a single image can instantly change me into a hard core gamer and fan of back tattoos. Excuse me while it go play with my Wii.

Everybody has posted this image already, Zelda Tramp Stamp, I might as well too.
1 commentRatchet and Clank for the PS3
The first three Ratchet and Clank video games are my favorite video games ever — more favorite than Ms. Pac Man, Zaxxon, Puzzle Bobble, Super Mario Bros, Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter, Devil May Cry, God of War etc. It’s difficult to quantify why I love the Ratchet and Clank games, but a few of the reasons are immersive sci-fi fantasy worlds, gorgeous artwork that you pause just to enjoy, challeging puzzles and plenty of robot and space alien shoot ‘em up.
A new [tag]Ratchet and Clank[/tag] is coming out for the PS3, and it looks incredible. View the high definition trailer (it’s worth it). It might be the reason why I buy the PS3, but that said, I need to price to drop. $600 is still to steep for a casual gamer like myself. When it hits $300, I’ll buy.

Comments are off for this postNew Video Games and a Cool New Blog
First up is “GDC: Super Paper Mario ‘Mega Star’”, which is a twisted version of 8-bit Mario games for the Wii. Anyone who played Mario Bros. as a kid will find this interesting (unless they totally grew up and don’t like video games anymore).
Then there’s “Every Extend Extra Extreme” for XBox Live, which looks like Asteroids on acid:
Eye candy. In spite of interesting games like this, I’m still not ready to shell out the cash for an Xbox 360.
I found out about both these on a new blog called The Total Recall, which has hit the ground running with lots of interesting posts about gaming, comics books and music. I’ll be adding this site to my blog roll immediately.

Anyone else see the new [tag]Dell[/tag] ads that use the URL www.dell.com/ftw. Last time I checked, [tag]ftw[/tag] stood for “fuck the world”. Does it mean something else, maybe it gamer-speak?
It’s either goof by marketing, or Dell has balls.
Update: according to the Wiki-P there are at least five FTWs including “fuck the world” and “for the win”.

A Chinese commercial for World of Warcraft and Coca-Cola… Imagine fighting an Orc or Shrek or whatever that is, and your reward is $8 worth of cola. Makes me sad just thinking about it.
I’m not sure why I posted this either. Oh I know… pretty ladies and funny title.

Happy 25th Birthday Pac Man!
Comments are off for this postArguably the most influential game in the industry’s history (with Pong the only other real contender), Pac Man has made more than $100 million dollars one quarter at a time. He’s spawned his own line of trading cards, lunch boxes, board games, breakfast cereals and been the inspiration for a Top 40 hit (Buckner & Garcia’s “Pac Man Fever” hit number 9 on Billboard’s charts in 1982).
Nanaca Crash!!!
What better way is there to start off the week than with a violent, yet humorous Flash game?
In Nanaca Crash you play the role of Japanese woman who needs to collide her bicycle as hard and fast as possible into some dude. Upon impact the dude will fly skyward and fall back to ground — the key is for him to land on another Japanese woman who will punch or kick him back into the air, and extend his journey towards death’s door. Sound gruesome? Sure it is, but it’s also hilarious and it looks like an Anime, so it’s cool.
And I found it on Web Zen.

Who said fun only comes on Friday?
Gibby really loves video games. How much? This much!
DanCentury.com is a Netdisaster. (via B3ta).
When cartoon restoration goes bad. Technology meant to clean up old cartoons, is actually trashing them. It kind of makes them look like they were run through a median noise filter and then saved as 5% quality jpegs (unless you use Photoshop, you won’t understand what I just wrote).
Apparently, there’s a store called “Worst Buy”, and if you go there, and try to pay with $2 bills, you’ll be thrown in jail. $2 bills may be out of print, but, they’re perfectly legal.
1 commentMulti Theft Auto: Hacking Multi-Player Into Grand Theft Auto
This is very cool: Multi Theft Auto: Hacking Multi-Player Into Grand Theft Auto With Open Source.
1 commentMulti Theft Auto adds networked multi-player to the Windows versions of Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. This ingenious “giant hack” illustrates just how far a commercial game can be extended beyond a typical “mod,” even if one does not have access to the original source code. The developers sum up what it took to create their unofficial mod: open source software (RakNet and Crazy Eddie’s GUI System), along with lots of time, persistence and junk food.
